Solutions For Community Food & Fuel

So... don't let all those anti-ethanol articles scare you. While many people still need to learn how to make fuel at home and escape the clutches of big oil, we are doing it in Portland.

Forget corn, all you need is sugar and yeast! You can make fuel from cat tails, used donuts, fruit, potatoes, you name it! As long as it has sugar, yeast eat it up and you can use the byproducts to grow even more food... it's great for the soil. There are so many uneducated people out there, but times are a changin!

Check out the photos section for pictures of our Portland moonshine operation.

Nice still! Where do you find the large fermentation tanks? and plans for reflux column? I'm hoping to ferment something this year. Experimenting with growing energy crops as well...

JOhn,

You can get tanks (cheap!) from a variety of places around any city. Call up your local oil jobbers and ask to talk with some of their truck drivers - they do deliveries and I have received calls asking me if I want extra tanks - free!

There is still much market development to do and the waste stream is fat with extras - so get in while the gettin's good : )
